Prepare a delicious and refreshing Thai tea

 

For Thai tea:

Thai tea


6 black tea bags

2.5 cups of water

2 teaspoon vanilla

2 star anise pieces

A tablespoon of whole cardamom

Cinnamon stick

1/4 piece vanilla

2 teaspoons ground turmeric

2 tablespoons sugar

For sweetened milk:


1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk

2 tablespoons whole milk



How to prepare Thai tea

To prepare Thai tea, place tea bags, water, vanilla extract, anise, cardamom, cinnamon stick, vanilla, and turmeric in a medium pot and bring to a boil over medium heat.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes.

Strain the tea mixture.

To prepare the sweetened milk, in a small bowl, whisk the sweetened condensed milk and whole milk together until the mixture is smooth.

Place ice cubes in cups as desired, then pour the tea.

Pour the milk mixture over the Thai iced tea, and serve.
