Caramel sauce ingredients
250 g sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup water
A small pinch of salt
How to prepare caramel sauce
In a medium-sized saucepan, put the sugar and water and cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves completely.
Raise the heat to high and let the mixture boil. Do not stir it, but stir the pot from time to time until it reaches a caramel color. This will take about five minutes.
Remove the mixture from the heat, carefully add the cream, and stir well until the sauce thickens and becomes smooth.
Add salt and stir.
Allow the caramel sauce to cool completely, then store it in a glass container and serve it with your coffee.
