Mamula Date Cake or Dates and Cream Cake
2 cups chopped dates
A cup of cream
1/2 cup melted butter
A cup of sugar
3 eggs
2 cups flour
A teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
A pinch of salt
Date pieces for garnish
A little whipped cream to decorate
How to prepare Mamula date cake or dates and cream cake
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius, prepare a cake mold and grease it with butter.
In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar until smooth.
Add the cream and mix well.
Add the eggs and mix well.
In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, vanilla, and a pinch of salt.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg and cream mixture, and mix until you obtain a smooth dough.
Add the chopped dates and mix well, then pour the mixture into the baking mold.
Bake the cake for 40 to 50 minutes.
Take the cake out and let it cool a little, then decorate it with dates and cream and serve.
