Fig Cake Ingredients
Ingredients for Caramel Sauce
1 cup granulated sugar
200 ml. cream – 1 pack
Ingredients for Cake Dough
3 eggs
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 cup sunflower oil
3 cups flour
1 pack baking powder
1 pack vanilla
Ingredients for the Top
5 figs
1 – 2 handfuls of sliced almonds
Put your pan on the stove and add granulated sugar to the bottom and make it caramel.
Add the cream into the caramelized sugar and whisk.
Put the eggs in a mixing bowl and start beating.
Add the granulated sugar and continue beating.
Then add the prepared caramel sauce, stirring constantly.
Add the sunflower oil and mix.
Then pass through a sieve and add the flour, baking powder and vanilla and mix with a spatula.
Grease a 24-26 cm. locked cake mold with butter on all sides.
Pour the cake mixture into the cake mold and spread.
Cut the figs into four slices.
Add them to the remaining caramel sauce in the pan and cook for a while.
Arrange the figs on the cake mixture and sprinkle with almonds.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
