225g penne pasta

A tablespoon of olive oil

2 cloves of minced garlic

A teaspoon of Italian spices

453 g skinless chicken breasts, cut into small pieces

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons butter

3 tablespoons flour

A cup of chicken broth

A cup of cream

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

A cup of grated mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup basil pesto



How to prepare pasta with chicken and pesto

Boil the pasta until it is al dente according to the instructions on the package, then drain it and set it aside.

In a large frying pan over medium heat, heat the olive oil, then add the chopped garlic, Italian seasoning and the chopped chicken breast, season with salt and pepper and leave until the chicken turns golden on all sides.

Transfer the chicken to a plate and discard any liquid in the pan.

In the same pan, over medium heat, melt the butter.

Add the flour and stir for about 3 minutes until the mixture becomes golden.

Add the chicken broth and cream, stir, then leave the mixture until it boils.

Reduce the heat and leave the mixture for about 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens.

Remove the sauce from the heat, add the pesto and cheese, and stir well.

Add the pasta and chicken and stir well.

Serve hot pasta with chicken and pesto.
